1. Current Nursing registration with APHRA and at least 3 years full-time equivalent post-graduate experience
2. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in specialist palliative care including relevant to topics such as last-days-of-life care, pain management, symptom management in life-limiting illness and advance care planning
3. Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in palliative care clinical assessment, planning and clinical management
4. Demonstrate knowledge and skills in providing professional education in palliative care nursing
5. Demonstrate a high level of communication skills
6. Demonstrate ability to work autonomously and contribute to a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of palliative care services for patients and their families
7. Demonstrate leadership skills with a prior history of having undertaken leadership roles
