About the Opportunity
The Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre (MCTC) at Campbelltown Hospital is amodern outpatient centre which operates Monday to Friday and provides a high quality, comprehensive cancer service to the residents of Campbelltown, Camden, Wollondilly and Wingercaribee areas.

MCTC invites experienced, motivated registered nurses with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsto join our MCTC nursing team.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for committed, empathetic registered nurses who wish to join a dynamic service which delivers safe, compassionate, person-centred care.

You will be required to work in the Radiation Therapy Department in MCTC where you will undertake a nursing accreditation program before transitioning to work in the Chemotherapy Suite to undertake an ‘Antineoplastics - Safe Handling and Administration’ accreditation program.

What You'll Be Doing
The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

How to Apply

    1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with demonstrated recent clinical experience as a registered nurse in an oncology or other relevant speciality within an acute care hospital environment.
    2. Can you share your experiences, especially in oncology/haematology or a relevant specialty, within a hospital setting.
    3. Tell us about your skills in cannulation, venepuncture, and managing central venous access devices. Are you accredited in the Safe Handling and Administration of Antineoplastics, or are you open to getting accredited within 6 months of employment?
    4. Can you give examples of how you've used critical thinking to provide evidence-based nursing care and contributed to risk management, work health and safety, and quality improvement in your past roles?
