This Provisional Fellow position in Paediatric / Adult Knee Orthopaedic Surgery at The Children's Hospital at Westmead is available for six months from 05 August 2024 to 02 February 2025. The Fellowship provides extensive exposure to all aspects of knee surgery with a focus on sports medicine, arthroplasty and reconstruction. The position provides advanced training in theory, clinical skills, teaching, surgery and related research to become clinically proficient in the care of patients with knee conditions and adept at managing their care in the context of the family.

The Children’s Hospital at Westmead has an Orthopaedic Research and Biotechnology Unit and involvement in a basic clinical research project is expected.

Selection Criteria:

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
  2. Registered as an advanced trainee with a relevant College or equivalent.
  3. Previous experience in adult and paediatric orthopaedic knee surgery is desirable.
  4. Successful completion of English language skills tests as per Medical Board of Australia requirements, where applicable. Please provide details.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to further education and professional development.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
