We are seeking an experienced consultant in Colorectal Surgery for the provision of contemporary, comprehensive and professional colorectal surgical specialist services that are safe, effective, evidence based and patient centred. The successful applicant will cover colorectal and general surgical on call at multiple sites including Belmont, Cessnock and John Hunter Hospitals.

Our ideal applicant

  • Will be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Colorectal Surgeon, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
  • Will have completed or be near completion of higher surgical research degree (PhD or equivalent) is desirable
  • Will have experience in trauma surgery and willingness to participate in trauma on call at a major trauma centre
