About the Role:

The Casey Area Mental Health Service is led by an innovative and supportive leadership team that seeks to provide an innovative and recovery-based model of mental health care that will continue to develop with our growing community in the Southeast growth corridor.

Our teams are based in both inpatient and community sites and offer collaborative care to clientswithin our catchment who areexperiencing mental health difficulties.We provide service to the Monash Adult Mental Health Program with comprehensive treatment and support to individuals experiencing complex mental health problems. We strive to deliver high quality recovery-focused client care as a multi-disciplinary team. Our aim is to promote self-efficacy and independence and social inclusion with all the individuals we support.

As our services are continuing to expand, we have two new positions open to an experienced Grade 2 or Grade 3 Occupational Therapist, to join our teams in Cranbourne and Pakenham on afull time basis.Please note this is a discipline specific role within our Cranbourne Community mental health team.

A Day in the Life

As the Occupational Therapist, you will identify, plan and deliver interventions for consumers' needs as identified by the mental health clinician, consumers, carers and service providers and through their specialist occupational therapy assessment. Working within the multidisciplinary team, you will be accountable for the provision of effective Occupational Therapy services to consumers, carers and the community using assessments and individual and group interventions.

If appointed, you will have ample opportunity to draw on your knowledge in mental health legislation and policy, as well as your Mental Health clinical experience and skills. Your contact with clients will be at our current Cranbourne site, as well as in their own accommodation.

What you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications (aligned to position description)
  • Demonstrated experience
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current practicing registration
  • Valid Driver’s Licence is a requirement for this role
