A Statewide VIC hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Internal Medicine from 17/06/2024 ongoing.
- The role is assessment and management of people in police custody – primary health care with mental health and alcohol/drug related issues prevalent. Mix of ED/Psychiatry/GP skills required.
- Clinical staff are always supervised by police or custodial officers.
- The shifts are based at Lonsdale St, with potential to require visits to other locations. This could be any police facilities.
- You would be travelling around different sites and are paid for travel time plus 0.85cents Per KM
- Most commonly the visits are to metropolitan Melbourne police stations. Reimbursement of travel expenses is paid in addition to the hourly rate of pay.
- Shift times are 0830 – 1600 or 0900-1500 (may finish later if needed) and you will always finish back at Lonsdale Street it you are visiting other sites.
- $140 per hour for weekdays and $160 an hour for weekends and Public Holidays.
- Must have ongoing availability for 2+ months.
