  1. Demonstrated understanding of the causative factors related to drug and alcohol misuse within Aboriginal communities and the principles that underpin Aboriginal Health service provision.
  2. Extensive post graduate experience working as a Social Worker in relevant clinical areas, including working with Aboriginal clients, a demonstrated understanding of the health setting, complex health conditions and the impact on wellbeing.
  3. Demonstrated experience in prioritising a challenging and demanding workload; managing stressful situations; and applying advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or critical nature.
  4. Experience working independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to provide culturally responsive care to Aboriginal clients and their families.
  5. Demonstrated high level communication skills (written and verbal), and demonstrated computer skills.
  6. Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and expert advice/consultation to the social work service and the clinical specialty.
  7. Demonstrated experience in the planning, implementing, leading and evaluating of quality improvement activities involving the application of evidenced based practice within social work
  8. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
