Build Brighter Tomorrows: Early Childhood Psychologist Role with the Noarlunga Health Service!
The ECFT Psychologist is an integral part of a multidisciplinary team working alongside Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Therapeutic Care Staff providing assessment and therapeutic developmental services to children 0-4 years and their families in the Southern metropolitan region of Adelaide. Individual, joint and group work is offered to support developmental skills in children and their carers/families who often experience highly complex and vulnerable backgrounds. Highly rewarding and fulfilling role within a close-knit team of highly experienced Allied Health professionals.
About the role:
Reporting to the Allied Health Service Manager, Child Development Services and the Senior Psychologist, some of your duties as the AHP2 Psychologist may involve:
- Developing, implementing and evaluating assessment and therapeutic intervention strategies appropriate to young children and their families.
- Providing accurate assessment and evaluation of clients with a range of developmental delays using standardised and informal assessment tools.
- Utilising program evaluation and evidence-based literature for improving programs and service delivery.
About you:
- Appropriate Degree, Master of Psychology (Clinical) or equivalent qualification as recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with PsyBA.
- Previous experience working with vulnerable children and their families.
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to, work with and support children 6 weeks to preschool age and their families from various cultures and backgrounds, often in complex vulnerable families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an inter/trans-disciplinary team and travel between sites at Noarlunga and Aldinga.
