Join the Maternal and Child Health Service and make a real impact on the lives of families with children aged 0 to 6 years. We are a leading local government organisation committed to delivering high-quality, culturally inclusive services and are seeking motivated Maternal and Child Health Nurses for permanent, full-time, part-time, and maternity leave positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide scheduled health monitoring activities for children from birth to 6 years, aligned with key developmental milestones. 
• Deliver family-centered services through outreach home visits, clinic or telehealth consultations, and group sessions. 
• Offer anticipatory guidance, health and child development education, and initial counseling as needed. 
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with relevant standards and privacy requirements. 
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and adhere to organizational policies and Department guidelines. 
• Make necessary notifications and ensure mandatory reporting is completed.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in maternal and child health nursing. 
• In-depth knowledge of well-child development, postnatal care, lactation support, and family dynamics. 
• Proven ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. 
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills. 
• Experience in quality improvement processes and clinical decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse and Midwife with current AHPRA registration, including additional qualifications in Maternal and Child Health. 

• Current driver's licence.
