We are currently seeking a
Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Emergency Department at
Peel Health Campus.
This is a full time, fixed term
twelve (12) month appointment to cover a period of parental leave
and for immediate start, with a possibility of extension(s).
Although full time is preferred, hours are negotiable.
As a Nurse Practitioner, you
will:
- Provide a clinical service working autonomously but in
collaboration with other health professionals to diagnose,
treat and manage a patient’s health status in accordance
with National legislation
- Perform advanced physical assessment, orders diagnostic
tests, interprets the results of these tests, initiates
referrals to relevant health providers, and prescribes
appropriate medications and other therapies as needed
- Be responsible for developing standards of practice,
implementing changes to clinical practice, initiating research
and leading quality improvement activities
- Provide clinical leadership as appropriate
- Practice within their scope of practice considerate of the
Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision
Flowchart.
Peel Health Campus
(PHC) is a general hospital located in the City of Mandurah, 75 km
south of Perth on the doorstep of the south-west, known for its
stunning beaches, internationally significant wetlands, and some of
Australia’s most spectacular waterways for boating, fishing
and wildlife. It originally opened in 1988 as the 32-bed Mandurah
District Hospital, and now operates with 206 licenced beds, bays
and treatment areas.
