The departments are staffed by a solo GP VMO. At any given time, there are rostered GP VMOs (a mixture of local and locums) in the following areas- ED, Anaesthetics, Surgery and Obstetrics. The VMOs are often specialty trained and are REQUIRED TO WORK ACROSS TWO CLINICAL AREAS - for eg. ED & Anaesthetics.
