Are you interested in Paediatric Nursing? It is an exciting time for you to join Paediatric team at Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Hospital! You will be welcomed into a team offering a supportive fun environment who actively encourage staff to develop. The position is being advertised as Full Time, permanent position. Part Time positions will be considered.

The Paediatric Ward at Hornsby Hospital is a 10 bedded inpatient ward. The department caters for children from 0-17 years of age caring for all specialities including Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedics, Respiratory and Eating Disorders. The unit is a welcoming environment and offers a supportive and fun team to work with.

What you'll be doing

The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  3. Recent post registration relevant experience in acute paediatric nursing.
  4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  6. A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
