This is an opportunity to Join the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network as an Occupational Therapist and gain skills and knowledge you can only receive from on the job experience. The Occupational Therapy Department provides both inpatient and outpatient services. Occupational therapists work with patients who have difficulties or challenges that interfere with every day routines. Our staff work closely with medical, nursing and other allied health staff to assist patients improve their ability to deal with daily activities.

As the Occupational Therapist, you will providecomprehensive Occupational Therapy service providing a team centred approach to client care, resulting in improved outcomes for patients with a variety of disorders and disabilities. In addition to participating in research and quality activities appropriate to the role. You will liaise with other health professionals, service providers and the community to facilitate thesafe and timely discharge, and improved independence and occupational outcomes for patients.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Experience in the provision of clinical Occupational Therapy services to clients with a range of illness and disabilities relevant to older people and rehabilitation.
  • The ability to undertake assessment and intervention with clients with a range of illness and disabilities relevant to older people and rehabilitation.
