Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity

Manawanui Oranga Hinengaro offers a unique culturally informed approach to care and recovery, working under the guidance of Te Ao Maori (Maori World View) me ona Tikanga (Protocols).

We provide a range of clinical services and talking therapies for adults with moderate to severe mental illness or psychological distress via multi-disciplinary teams within a kaupapa Maori framework. Our team includes: psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers and cultural specialist.

This role provides high quality Social Work expertise to the wider Manawanui multidisciplinary team.

Working as a Key worker, the roles provides assessment and support for a caseload oftangata whai-i-te-ora, who require holistic care in order to flourish independently in the community.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

We are looking for NZ Registered Social Workers with a current practising certificate. It is essential that you have experience working with adults suffering from mental distress and trauma.

It is also desirable that you are fluent inTe Reo me ona tikanga, confident with Te Ao Maori and experienced in working with Maori models of practice.
