Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity
We are looking for permanent 0.3 FTE to support our newly established service, providing Anaesthetic Assessment to all elective paediatric patients receiving general anaesthesia at Starship children’s hospital.
This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team with close liaison with Anaesthesia, Surgical Services, speciality Clinical Nurses, and Patient Administration Services. Working alongside our Mokopuna and whānau to deliver timely and appropriate pre-operative anaesthetic assessments. Providing information and education will also be a key component of this role.

As the ideal person for this role, you will:
- be a senior registered Nurse with 2 years working within an anaesthetic pre assessment service
- Paediatric Perioperative or PACU Nursing experience
- Post grad diploma/masters
- be capable of working within a multi -disciplinary team.
- have well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family centred care
- have a positive attitude, an innovative and adaptable approach to practice
