Are you a registered midwife looking for an exciting and challenging role in a supportive environment? Do you love coordinating maternity care while building relationships then this is the role for you!
We are looking for midwives who are focused on supporting and delivering the best possible outcomes for women who engage with our services. Like the rest of our team, you will be called to this specialised role by your passion to work collaboratively, and make a difference through culturally responsive care and professional accountability.
Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
We are looking for:
· At least two year’s postgraduate experience as a midwife, with at least one year in a Community setting
· Current New Zealand midwifery registration or be eligible for registration with theMidwifery Council of New Zealand
· A current Annual Practicing Certificate
· A current New Zealand driving licence

The Community Midwifery Serviceprovides high quality, evidence-basedcare for women whorequire ADHB as their Lead-Maternity Carer. Theservice provides antenatal and postnatal care by a named Community Midwife.Midwife-led antenatal clinics areoffered at Greenlane Clinical Centre, Auckland City Hospital and various community-based locations.After hours care,as well assupport duringlabour and birth,is provided by the core midwives and, if required,obstetric teamsin Auckland City Hospital. Postnatal care is offered in the home.
This whanau-focused service also provides expertcare with an interdisciplinaryapproach to women with additional needs such as Maori, Pasifika, new immigrant or former refugees andyoung mothers. Other complex needs may includemental health issues, drug/alcohol useand obstetric complications.
