Te whiwhinga mahi| The Opportunity

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has excellent communication skills, as we liaise directly with senior medical staff, patients and other colleagues on a daily basis.

The endoscopy unit delivers care to inpatients and outpatients specialising in a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures including Bronchoscopy, Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Enteroscopy, ERCP, Infusions and Motility studies. Our department currently delivers secondary and tertiary services to the Auckland area and to the wider New Zealand population.

We work all over the hospital, in Radiology, CVICU, DCCM, Level 8 and Level 4 Operating Theatres, and Starship. We also have one room at Greenlane site.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

You will need to be able to work autonomously in your varied roles, and as part of a supportive nursing team committed to effective/evidenced based nursing practice. Ideally you will have some experience in Endoscopy/Gastroenterology nursing but a gradual orientation programme and ongoing education is provided, and align with the Auckland DHB's values.

We have a fast turn over and use multiple pieces of equipment so seek nurses with the ability to manage a fast, changing environment, while demonstrating technical ability.
