About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the SVHS Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). The CHSP provides small amounts of entry-level support to assist older people aged 65 years and over (50 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) to remain living at home and in their community.

Here at SVHS, our CHSP funds Nursing, Allied Health, Podiatry, and Dementia Advisory services as part of our program. CHSP services may be short-term, intermittent or ongoing. The program places a strong focus on activities that support independence and social connectedness and take into account each person’s individual goals and choices. The Enrolled Nurse will work as part of the CHSP Nursing service offering wound care and case management to assist the elderly in our community to maintain their independence and continue living safely at home.

Selection Criteria:

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

  • Currently registered as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

  • Current NSW drivers’ license Class C or above.

  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.

  • Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.

  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
