About the role:

In this role you will form part of the RPC Rehabilitation Team and will ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical service delivery, the development and implementation of innovative models of care and assurance of quality management processes.

RPC provides specialist rehabilitation services to both an inpatient and outpatient caseload. Rehabilitation is provided to patients following stroke, traumatic brain injury, other neurological conditions, general debility and amputation.

The RPC Physiotherapy Team consists of eight Physiotherapists and three Therapy Assistants, staff working both part and full-time. This role will be a rotating position working across the two inpatient rehabilitation wards, the day hospital outpatient rehabilitation service and the in-reach rehabilitation team at JHH.


Where you’ll be working:

  • John Hunter Hospital (JHH) Physiotherapy department provides services to JHH, Rankin Park Centre (RPC) and Belmont District Hospitals (BDH).
  • RPC is a Rehabilitation Unit within JHH Medical and Interventional Service and includes 40 inpatient beds and an outpatient service.
  • This position will be based at RPC which is located on the JHH campus.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.


About you:

  • You will be a dynamic and motivated Physiotherapist with rehabilitation experience, to ensure the provision of patient-centred, innovative, high-quality Physiotherapy services.
  • You must have a high level of clinical reasoning skills and be a problem solver.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work extensively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • You will have a commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
