  • Tertiary qualification in a health related discipline or management experience/ qualifications in leadership and change management.
  • Proven ability to ensure the human, physical and resources of the project are managed to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team and to represent nursing and midwifery in a range of forums inside and outside the organisation
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner to manage conflict and performance issues then they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking to set goals, formulate strategic plans and policies to achieve identified outcomes for the service and organisation.
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workforce
  • Demonstrated ability to provide support, mentorship and training to all levels of nursing and midwifery leaders of the District
  • Demonstrate a willingness/ ability to travel throughout the Far West LHD to fulfil the position key accountabilities
