An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Clinical Director to join the Hospital in the Home (HITH), Integrated Care Services Team at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme

Your opportunity:

  • The Clinical Director of Fraser Coast Integrated Care Services will provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure delivery of a high performing medical team within and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Integrated Care team. They will ensure the provision of high value, safe, quality clinical care to the patients of Integrated Care Services.
  • The Clinical Director of Fraser Coast Integrated Care will work collaboratively with the Executive Director - Clinical and Support Services to strategically plan and deliver an effective and efficient Integrated Care Service.
  • The Clinical Director of Fraser Coast Integrated Care Services will provide both clinical and strategic leadership, as well as direct clinical care dependent on prioritising needs. It is expected at least fifty percent of their time will be devoted to the delivery of clinical care.

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $461,256 p.a., comprising salary between $204,206 - $258,910 p.a., (L18-L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements.  Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value. (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
