About the role
The Central Allocations Unit has opportunities for Endorsed Enrolled Nurses to join our team. The Mental Health casual bank offers the opportunity to work across:

  • Adult Acute Unit
  • Parent and Infant Unit
  • PARC
  • SECU (Sovereign House)
  • Steel Haughton Unit

To maintain your position with the Central Allocations Unit, a commitment of 2 shifts per fortnight is required.

Casual bank is managed by the Central Allocations Unit which operates 7 days a week. Grampians Health uses an electronic rostering system which matches staff for shifts based on their availabilities via text / phone call.

Key Responsibilities

  • Caring for a diverse range of patients and residents in varied care settings
  • Ability and willingness to provide high quality, direct care within scope of practice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive, patient focussed outcomes
  • Complete mental state exams and risk assessments for consumers
  • Complete medication administration in adherence to overarching governance
  • Undertake tasks under direction of NUM / ANUM / RPN on shift
  • Documentation and updating of care plans / patient records
  • Provide accurate and timely communication with residents, visitors and staff at all levels within Grampians Health
  • Maintaining accurate availability in our electronic rostering system and accepting shifts based on availability

Skills and experience

  • Prior experience / placement in a Mental Health setting
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills
  • Ability to function within a team
  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain if working in Care Community
  • Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Enrolled Nurse Grade 2 (IB68 - IB72) which ranges from $33.83 - $36.00 per hour.

This position is paid in accordance with the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement. The classification is Enrolled Psychiatric NurseLevel 2 - (PE21-PE23/YD22) which ranges from $35.27 - $36.84 per hour
