A Southern TAS hospital requires a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine/Gerontology from 05/10/2026 to 16/10/2026.

2 ward consultants during working hours.
Afterhours: on call geriatrician
Working across different wards

Shifts: Day 0800 to 1700
Oncall: As per the roster – 1:11 on call for the Repatriation hospital wards and Jasmine unit at RFC. Patients are under c/o Geriatrics and Palliative Care teams. There is a Consultant on-call with Reg or RMO. On-call hours shared between consultants .
Weekdays: 1700 – 0800
Weekends: 0800 - 0800

The rate is $2500.00/day

• 66 inpatient beds for acute older persons’ care, subacute care and patients with behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia requiring rehabilitation.
• The Aged Care specialists provide multiple services to inpatients (including a consultative service and shared care orthogeriatrics model of 10-20 patients) and outpatients, as well as provide a robust educational program.
• Travel and accommodation provided
