A Southern TAS hospital requires a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine from 14/09/2026 to 06/11/2026.

Rehabilitation Medicine Staff Specialist will predominantly be based on ARU (90 Davey St) with potential for day work at RHH or St John’s (outsourced beds).
Outpatient work in outpatient clinics at 90 Davey St +/- RHH Procedural lists
Afterhours on call at RHH, 90 Davey St and St John’s.
Staff Specialists will participate in a 1 in 5 afterhours on call for the 3 sites (second on call after the registrar).
In addition to managing inpatients, Rehab Staff Specialists have an outpatient work load including procedural lists (intramuscular botulinum toxin and intrathecal baclofen pump refills) and outpatient clinics.
Consultant supported by:
4.0 FTE registrars across the department
- 1.0 at 90 Davey St, ARU (+ outpatient clinics) + RMO and intern
- 1.0 at St John’s Rehab (+ outpatient clinics)
- 2.0 FTE at RHH – spasticity service, In-reach rehab, consults (+ outpatient clinics)
