A South Eastern VIC hospital requires a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine from 28/09/2026 to 02/10/2026.

Amputee Clinic
Provode medical input to community rehabilitation service if needed.
Needs to do ward rounds and to attend short daily morning meetings and two team meetings (11 am -12:30 pm on Monday and Wednesdays)
Needs to assess the referrals for rehab admission for the suitability and to attend family meetings.
Other interdepartmental meetings need not to be attended unless there is any urgent input is required.

The rate is $2000.00/day

• Located 150 km east of Melbourne, the hospital is one of Gippsland’s largest employers, with around 2600 employees. With 313 beds and treatment chairs, the range of specialised services includes; cancer care, cardiology, and mental health. A significant expansion is due to open in 2024, with an increase in theatres, a new ICU, larger and contemporary women’s and children’s units, and more inpatient beds. The mental health services are also being improved for people seeking timely care and treatment.
• 25-30 bedded rehab unit. General rehab, no acute traumatic brain/ spinal cord injury unit.
• 1 trainee registrar and two HMOs need supervision.
