Troocoo Healthcare is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse for a short-term contract within a remote healthcare service located in Boulia, Western Queensland. Working in a highly autonomous environment, you will provide essential healthcare services to a rural and remote community while being supported by local administrative and operational staff.

• Start: 7 September 2026 or 10 September 2026
• End: 2 October 2026
• $91.00-$115.52 per hour base rate
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
• On-call and recall responsibilities required after hours and on weekends
• Full availability for the advertised dates is essential

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a small rural healthcare team supporting a local community and surrounding remote properties.

You will be required to:

• Deliver high-quality primary and community healthcare services
• Respond to urgent presentations where required
• Work autonomously within a rural and remote setting
• Support community health initiatives
• Collaborate with emergency services and retrieval providers as required

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Previous experience working within Queensland's public health system
• Demonstrated Rural and Remote nursing experience
• Clinical Nurse level experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Adult Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Current Triage competency
• Strong assessment and decision making skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
