We are partnering with a reputable not-for-profit organisation to appoint an experienced Clinical Team Leader to join an established residential rehabilitation mental health program in Carlingford.

About the role
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to a team supporting approximately 10-12 consumers with complex mental health needs
  • Act as a key clinical escalation point, supporting clinicians to work through complex cases and determine appropriate approaches
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and guidance to team members
  • Support clinical decision-making including risk assessment, care planning and escalation
  • Lead and participate in case reviews, care coordination meetings and clinical handovers
  • Work closely with LHD case managers, Team Leaders and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide clinical insight and guidance to case workers around their clients' mental health needs
  • Support consumers transitioning from the residential environment towards greater independence and community-based living
  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and safe, recovery-focused practice
  • Participate in the on-call roster approximately one week per month, with an additional allowance.
About you:

We're looking for an experienced mental health clinician with 5+ years' mental health experience, ideally including inpatient or residential settings. Experience with severe and persistent mental illness, complex presentations, Community treatment order and/or Forensic Orders, AOD, and clinical leadership will be highly regarded.

You will also need:

  • Qualifications in psychology, social work, OT, or nursing and professional registration/membership with AHPRA or AASW
  • Current Australian driver's licence
  • Strong clinical leadership, supervision and case coordination capability
  • Confidence acting as an escalation point for clinicians
  • A recovery oriented, trauma informed and person-centred approach

This would suit a Senior Clinician ready to step into a Clinical Team Leader role, or an experienced Team Leader looking for a meaningful short term opportunity within a well-established NFP.
