What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse Mental Health Services, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care that supports the psychological, emotional and physical wellbeing of people experiencing mental health challenges. You will work closely with consumers, families and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, coordinated and recovery-focused care.
·Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised mental health care
·Build therapeutic relationships that support recovery and positive outcomes
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment and care plans
·Promote consumer wellbeing through education, advocacy and health promotion
·Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria:
·Registration: Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
1.Registered Nurse who has completed a new graduate RN program or experience working as a Registered Nurse
2.Demonstrated experience working with people presenting with an acute mental health problem
3.Demonstrated advanced reasoning skills with proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team within minimal direct clinical supervision
4.Proven effective high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to exercise independent professional judgement when solving problems
5.Working knowledge of the NSW Mental Health Act 2007
6.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with consumers and carers regarding mental health care
7.An understanding of the recovery philosophy and trauma informed care in Mental Health and the ability to implement these within clinical practice
8.Current NSW drivers licence
