What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will lead, coordinate and evaluate clinical education programs that strengthen workforce capability and support the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative care. Working closely with Nurse Managers, Nurse Educators and Clinical Nurse Consultants, you will play a pivotal role in developing nursing practice, maintaining clinical standards and enhancing patient outcomes.
Designing, delivering and evaluating education programs, orientation, onboarding, mandatory training and professional development activities.
Mentoring and assessing nursing staff to achieve and maintain clinical competence in accordance with professional and organisational requirements.
Facilitating evidence-based teaching and learning opportunities within the clinical environment, including bedside education and coaching.
Partnering with nursing leadership, educators and clinical experts to identify learning needs and implement innovative education strategies.
Driving quality improvement, practice development and workforce initiatives while maintaining compliance with legislative, Ministry of Health and organisational requirements.

Essential Criteria
Registration:Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and / or post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/education.
Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty.
Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
