Working closely with executives, service leaders and clinical teams, you will drive quality improvement, strengthen clinical governance, support accreditation readiness, and help shape the future of aged care services across our diverse rural communities.

Renumeration: $167,023.60 - $169,961.26 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About the role

As the Residential Aged Care Quality and Compliance Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, expert advice and operational support to residential aged care services across MLHD. You will lead quality, compliance and clinical governance initiatives to ensure services meet the highest standards of care and align with relevant legislation, accreditation requirements and best practice. This is a unique opportunity to influence aged care reform, partner with key stakeholders, and drive meaningful improvements that enhance outcomes for residents, families and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical governance, quality and compliance programs across MLHD residential aged care services to ensure alignment with relevant standards, legislation and best practice.
  • Develop, implement and monitor quality improvement strategies, audits and compliance frameworks to drive continuous service improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and reporting to executive leaders on quality, risk, compliance and aged care reform initiatives.
  • Support services through accreditation processes, audits, agency visits and the implementation of new aged care standards and reforms.
  • Build capability across teams through leadership, education, mentoring and stakeholder engagement to foster a culture of excellence, accountability and person-centred care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A registered Nurse or Midwife with extensive experience in residential aged care and a strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, accreditation requirements and clinical governance.
  • A collaborative and influential leader who can build strong relationships with clinicians, managers, executives and external stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.
  • A quality improvement champion with the ability to analyse data, identify risks and opportunities, and lead initiatives that enhance service performance and compliance.
  • An experienced people leader who can foster a positive workplace culture, support professional growth, and lead teams through change and reform.
  • A strategic thinker who is passionate about delivering safe, person-centred aged care and achieving excellence in quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
