Join our Physiotherapy Team

Make a meaningful difference to the lives of patients across Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care by joining our Physiotherapy team as an Allied Health Assistant. Working under the direction of Allied Health Professionals, you will support the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care while contributing to the effective operation of clinical services.

About the role:

Reporting to the Director AH RAP Division operationally and working under the professional direction of the relevant Allied Health Professionals, you will provide assistance with patient care, therapeutic activities, clinical administration and the maintenance of a safe and effective clinical environment. Duties for the role will include:

  • Providing specific therapeutic interventions and assisting with patient therapy under the direction from the physiotherapy team.
  • Assisting patients with transport, preparation, movement and physical tasks associated with therapy interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate patient documentation and therapy-related databases as directed.

About you:

  • Eligible and willing to complete Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
  • Ability to use documented resources such as policies and procedures and work instructions to enable safe work practices
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills – able to demonstrate the ability to work with people from a variety of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated aptitude for working in a healthcare environment and the ability to work under close supervision and direction.

This role attracts a fixed allowance that ensures a minimum salary equivalent to AHA2 (third increment) pro-rated, based on the Undertaking as within the Allied Health Professionals, Assistants and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement 2025.
