Goulburn Base Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Midwife Manager Grade 2 to provide strong clinical leadership and support the delivery of safe, high-quality, woman- and family-centred maternity care. What you'll be doing
The Midwife Manager coordinates and manages the midwifery services and resources, services, provides staff leadership and direction within a multidisciplinary health care team to achieve people focused quality care for Goulburn Maternity Services with outreach to Yass.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in the field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes.
- Proven ability to function effectively as part of a management team and to work successfully with other professionals and disciplines in the management of health care services.
- Broad clinical experience and operational management experience within a women's and children's environment, including strategic planning, the development, implementation & evaluation of models of care within the service.
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional practice with proven skills in assessing and supervising competence and performance of staff together with the skills in implementing continuous quality improvement programs, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage and coordinate clinical services with proven ability to allocate and monitor resources to meet service and financial performance targets.
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means with the ability to utilise a range of communication strategies to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.
