What you'll be doing
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, individualised care that supports patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes before, during and after their surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient and compassionate care while responding effectively to changing clinical needs.
·Deliver person-centred perioperative nursing care to patients and their families
·Assess, monitor and respond to patient needs throughout the surgical journey
·Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes and facilitate discharge planning
·Supervise, mentor and support nursing staff and students within the clinical environment
·Advocate for patients while ensuring effective resource utilisation and adherence to professional standards

Essential Criteria:
·Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
1.Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
2.Current perioperative experience in Anaesthetics and/or Recovery speciality areas.
3.Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
4.Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
5.Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
6.Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team
7.Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues
