What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical assessment and management of patients requiring specialised Hand Surgery treatment, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in orthopaedic surgical practice in a complex clinical environment.
The Orthopaedic Unaccredited Trainee works closely with consultants and members of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to patient care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings, and managing clinical matters with discretion, sensitivity and professionalism.

The trainee is expected to progressively develop greater independence in patient management under the guidance of the responsible Consultant. All patient care is provided under the direction of a specialist medical practitioner, with clear communication regarding clinical decisions.
