Location

Neurodiverse Playhouse 86 Astor Tce, Spring Hill 4000

Description

Neurodiverse Playhouse is seeking a Developmental Paediatrician to join our multidisciplinary team in Brisbane in 2027 and help shape an innovative, neuroaffirming model of developmental care.

We are looking for a curious and collaborative paediatrician with an interest in child-led, play-based care, movement and sensory-motor development, autism and ADHD, and emerging areas of neurodevelopmental medicine, including:

  • photobiomodulation
  • EEG
  • TMS
  • microbiome research

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside allied health clinicians in a flexible role and contribute to the development of integrated, evidence-informed pathways that support the whole child - their development, health, regulation, movement, communication, participation and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will:

  • hold a recognised medical degree and be eligible to practise medicine in Australia
  • hold current specialist registration with Ahpra in Paediatrics and Child Health, with no restrictions incompatible with the role
  • hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Paediatrics & Child Health, or an equivalent specialist qualification recognised for specialist registration in Australia
  • have demonstrated training and/or substantial clinical experience in developmental and behavioural paediatrics, community child health or neurodevelopmental medicine
  • be eligible for a Medicare provider number and specialist Medicare billing at the Neurodiverse Playhouse practice location
  • maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance and meet relevant continuing professional development requirements
  • meet all applicable requirements for working with children and vulnerable young people in Queensland
  • have demonstrated experience working collaboratively with children, families and multidisciplinary health professionals
