A Southern TAS hospital requires a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from 21/10/2026 to 05/12/2026.

Dates: between now and 5 December 2026 - Full time with requirement to participate in an afterhours roster within the hospital which includes evening and weekend shifts.

The locum role will be for a generalist covering labour ward, clinics & Caesar theatres on a rostered basis. The locum will be supported by a team of specialist fellows, 9 registrars, senior registrars

The rate is $4000.00/day

• It has a tertiary neonatal intensive care unit and can care for extreme preterm and most surgical infants
• The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department offers a comprehensive service including 24-hour labour ward coverage with around 2000 births per annum.
• On call labour ward coverage & weekend cover as rostered. Weekly education session and multidisciplinary meetings occur within the department with protected time for registrar teaching and administration. It provides variety of clinics like high risk, endocrine , complex care & low risk antenatal clinics along with various gyne clinics, colposcopy etc.
