Locum Hospital Medical Officer (PGY3+) required to provide inpatient and urgent care coverage at a Northern VIC Public Health Service.

The Hospital Medical Officer will be working under the Supervision of the on call GP.

Daily duties include:
Ward Duties
• Discharge planning with Senior Doctors and Nursing Staff
• Completion of discharge summaries
• Referrals and requests
• Medication charts
• Long term patient weekly medication reconciliation
• Patient reviews

Urgent Care
• Triage
• Patient Management in consultation with Supervising GP

• This hospital has a 12 bed inpatient unit (including an Urgent Care Centre with about 4,500 presentations per year) and residential aged care facility located in a community of around 7,000 people about 3 hrs north of Melbourne.
• Located in a scenic town on the Murray River in Victoria
• Accommodation provided.
