A Northern QLD hospital requires a Registrar/PHO in Emergency Medicine from 22/06/2026 to 30/10/2026.

PGY4-PGY7 ASAP 30/10/2026 3 positions available

For nights shifts consultants are first on call, approachable by phone at any time and able to come in in less than 10 minutes in case of an emergency.

The rate is $180.00/hour

• 13 beds in ED 3 beds in short stay The Emergency Department sees approximately 28,000 to 32,000 presentations per annum. An extremely varied mix of presentations gives clinical staff many opportunities to gain hands-on experience in procedural work and broad clinical experience.
• Rostered hours: Minimum of 4 x 10 hour shifts per week as per department roster. Monday to Sunday On call: Shared 1 in 3
• Staffing levels: 2.25 FTE x Director of Emergency , 9.0 FTE x FACEM / SMO Emergency, 8 FTE x Registrars/PHO (ACEM Registrar or Emergency Medicine AST pathway) , 8 FTE x Resident Medical Officer (including recognition for CCT in Paediatrics) , 3 FTE x Interns
