As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.

The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, families and carers by joining the Supportive and Palliative Care team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC2). The Supportive and Palliative Care Service provides flexible, responsive and coordinated care to patients with malignant and non-malignant life-limiting illnesses across inpatient, outpatient clinic and community settings.

The CNC2 will provide specialist supportive and palliative care to inpatients at Blue Mountains, Springwood and Lithgow Hospitals, while also supporting community-based patients in partnership with other clinicians within the Supportive and Palliative Care Service. As an expert clinician, you will provide advanced nursing leadership, clinical consultation and specialist advice to support best practice in supportive and palliative care. You will contribute to service development, clinical decision-making and quality improvement initiatives while promoting excellence in patient outcomes across a variety of care settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated nurse who is passionate about supportive and palliative care and is looking to further develop their leadership and specialist practice.
