The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Resident Medical Officer (RMO) to join a modern hospital in New South Wales, Australia, working within its dedicated Rehabilitation Unit. This is a permanent role with a commitment of at least 12 months required, starting in February/March 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with an interest or experience in Rehabilitation Medicine, Geriatrics or General Medicine to develop their clinical skills while working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team. The hospital offers a dedicated Rehabilitation Unit, providing short-stay inpatient care for patients recovering from illness, surgery or injury. The service focuses on helping patients regain their independence, improve mobility and achieve the best possible outcomes before returning home or transitioning to further care.

Located in the picturesque Southern Tablelands of New South Wales, this region offers an appealing balance of relaxed country living, modern amenities and easy access to city life.

Remuneration & Package

• Base salary is dependent on your postgraduate level of experience, starting at $94,521 per year
• Free off-site accommodation for the first 3 months
• Visa nomination
• Superannuation
• Free support throughout the process

Essential Requirements

• Eligibility to register with AHPRA via the Competent Authority pathway
• At least 12 months experience within a comparable health system (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand) practicing rehab, geriatric or general medicine
