Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse who is passionate about caring for older people and helping them achieve their best possible health and wellbeing?
An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join the Transitional Aged Care Unit (TACU) at Nepean Hospital. Our Transitional Aged Care Unit provides an important bridge between acute hospital care and the community, supporting older people to regain their strength, confidence and independence following an illness, injury or hospital admission. We are committed to a restorative and person-centred approach to care, recognising each patient's individual abilities, goals and potential. Our focus is on supporting older people to maximise their functional capacity, maintain their independence and achieve a safe and successful transition to home or an appropriate ongoing care environment.
As an Enrolled Nurse within our Transitional Aged Care Unit, you will work as an integral member of the nursing and multidisciplinary team, delivering compassionate, safe and high-quality care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their recovery journey, encouraging participation in daily activities and promoting independence, dignity and quality of life. You will be a caring, reliable and motivated Enrolled Nurse who understands the importance of delivering individualised care and supporting older people to achieve their personal goals. You recognise that successful transitional care is about more than meeting clinical needs; it is about empowering patients, building confidence and supporting them to regain control of their everyday lives.
If you enjoy working in a team environment and want to contribute to helping patients regain their independence, we would love to hear from you. Be part of a team that doesn't just provide care – we empower older people to regain their independence, confidence and quality of life.
