About the opportunityThe Pain Service Senior Clinical Psychologist P3 is an exciting new role at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg. The Senior Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment, case formulation, psychoeducation and evidence based psychological interventions to outpatients of the Gynaecology Persistent Pelvic Pain Partnership Pathway (P5) Clinic. Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary Pain Service team based at MHW, the psychologist also provides consultation and liaison to the referring MHW unit and treating team; develops, promotes and improves psychological clinical service delivery, in consultation with the Director of Gynaecology, P5 Clinic Psychiatrist, and Director of Psychology; assists in the development and delivery of multidisciplinary pain management services; attends multidisciplinary reviews, providing consultation, psychoeducation and psychological strategies to assist staff, teams and families/carers. The psychologist may also be involved in supervision of Grade 2 Psychologists and Registrars.
What you'll bring- Current full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, with Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
- A minimum of a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology in an APAC accredited postgraduate course.
- At least 5 years' experience as a Psychologist post full AHPRA registration.
- PsyBA approved Psychology Supervisor status (or eligible and working towards same).
- Strong interest/passion and clinical experience in women's health and chronic pain.
- Grade 2 clinical psychologists with significant interest and experience in women's health and chronic pain may be considered.

The Mental Health in Primary Schools initiative is being expanded to every government and low-fee non-government primary school in Victoria. Scaling up across the state from 2023, by 2026 every primary school will be able to employ a Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader to implement a whole-school approach to wellbeing.
The Department of Education has been piloting the Mental Health in Primary Schools initiative in Victorian schools since 2020 in partnership with the Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne. Evaluation of this pilot initiative has shown that 95 per cent of Mental Health and Wellbeing Leaders consider the Mental Health in Primary Schools model has improved their school's capacity to support students' mentalhealth and wellbeing needs.
Participating schools receive funding to employ a Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader, a qualified teacher, to work across the school to implement a whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing for students, staff and families based on a broad knowledge of the needs of the school community.
The role of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader is to:
- build capability of the whole school with regard to mental health and wellbeing (identification, promotion and prevention),
- provide support to staff to better identify and support students with mental health needs,
- establish clear pathways for referral for students requiring assessment and intervention, and monitor and evaluate student progress.
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader role is not a clinical role and is not designed for direct intervention. The role is seen as a key conduit in creating referral pathways once a teacher or other staff member identifies a concern in the classroom.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Leaders are provided training in mental health literacy, supporting emerging needs, and building school capacity and receive ongoing support and professional development through structured and regular Learning Communities Training is developed and facilitated by the Faculty of Education at University of Melbourne, supported by Murdoch Children's Research Institute.
Responsibilities Operating in collaboration with their school, leadership and wellbeing team where relevant, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader will:
- Promote a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing to students, staff and families
- Support teachers and school staff to expand their capacity to embed evidence-based mental health strategies, interventions and programs and build mental health literacy to identify and support primary school students with mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with school staff to inform, influence and provide input into teaching and learning relating to mental health and wellbeing. Provide support to schools staff and classroom teachers to build their capabilities to embed mental health into the classroom.
- Work with school leadership and wellbeing teams to embed whole school approaches to mental health into school planning and strategic processes. Coordinate clear referral pathways internally (within school) and externally (to community services) for students identified as requiring further assessment and intervention.
- Proactively work with and support regional staff, school wellbeing and leadership teams, teachers, parents/carers and other external agencies to coordinate targeted mental health support for primary school students.
- Contribute to the school's existing wellbeing team.

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Violence Applicant Practitioner (FVAP) to join our specialist family violence team. Working alongside Family Violence Registrars, Respondent Practitioners and key court stakeholders, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing family violence and helping improve safety outcomes for women, children and families.
The Family Violence Applicant Practitioner (FVAP) plays a vital role in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria's response to family violence and will provide expert support to people experiencing family violence while contributing to a coordinated court response that prioritises safety, accountability and access to justice.
Working directly with victim survivors attending court, you will apply your specialist family violence knowledge to assess risk, develop safety plans, provide crisis support and connect clients with services that promote their immediate and ongoing safety. Through this work, you will help enhance outcomes for women, children and families affected by family violence while supporting a court environment that holds perpetrators accountable for their actions.
Other responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive MARAM-aligned risk assessments and safety planning.
- Providing crisis intervention, information, support and referrals.
- Linking clients with housing, counselling, legal, financial, AOD, mental health and other community services.
- Working collaboratively with court staff, legal practitioners, police and community agencies.
- Supporting safe and informed pathways through the family violence court process.

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
The Medical Imaging Department provides a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound services. This is a full-time, fixed-term position, with 80 hours per fortnight. Applications for part-time hours are also welcome.
The primary role of the Sonographer is to provide professional and efficient imaging services to patients and clients of NHW. The classification is commensurate with the level of experience under the Allied Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement and requires an ability to perform various imaging examinations in accordance with the medical imaging department protocols.
The Sonographer is required to:
- make accurate diagnostic decisions
- participate in open and informed discussions with radiologists and other staff
- ensure an efficient workflow
- optimise patient care
The Sonographer - Grade 3 or 4 position is an important role within the medical imaging group. The Grade 3 or 4 Sonographer must meet the classification criteria of a Grade 3 or 4 AHP1 under the Allied Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement.

Senior Child Protection Practitioner roles, Inner Eastern Melbourne Area:To be an effective Senior Child Protection Practitioner, you will have a strong sense of social justice and understand that families are complex, with their own unique histories. Importantly, you will be able to collaborate with the Team Manager to strengthen case practice, provide effective service delivery and to support other practitioners in the development of plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people.
At the CPP5.1 Senior Practitioner level, you will supervise team members in daily tasks through a structured and supportive learning program. This role will hold a caseload commensurate with supervisory responsibilities.
The transportation of children is a requirement of this role, as such a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel, including in country regions is essential. There may be the requirement to work overnight and, travel in evenings and early mornings. On occasions, additional hours may be required to ensure the wellbeing of children. Department vehicles are used to support this role.

About the Department / Program
The Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU) is a 50 bed unit based at Dandenong Hospital that provides medium to long term inpatient treatment and rehabilitation for people who have continuous and severe symptoms of mental illness. Monash Health SECU accepts people from the catchment areas of; Eastern Health, Peninsula Health, Monash Health and Alfred Health. Our collaborative multi disciplinary team is made up of; Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Clinical and Neuro Psychologists, Exercise Physiologist, Dietician, Music Therapist, Psychiatrists and Mental Health Nurses. The multi-disciplinary team provide treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation programs optimising individual function, for return to community living. NDIS plays an integral part in providing psychosocial support and care for our consumers and families during their stay supporting community transition.
About the Role
The position provides psychological services to consumers in the Secure Extended Care Unit (SECU). SECU is a 50 bed sub acute adult psychiatric inpatient unit, based at Dandenong Hospital. The multi disciplinary SECU team (MDT) provides medium to long term inpatient treatment and rehabilitation to consumers who have unremitting and severe symptoms of mental illness or disorder, who are unable to be effectively treated in a less restrictive setting and are unable to live independently.
The focus of the position is to provide evidence based psychological services to consumers of SECU who present with conditions including schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and co m ob dium use disorders, cognitive impairment and/or behaviours of concern.

You have strong working knowledge of community based systems and are passionate about building effective partnerships that support seamless transitions from inpatient care to the community.
Your clinical skills are matched by your interpersonal strengths-you are an excellent communicator, team player, and advocate for consumers and their families. You are capable of managing a varied caseload, providing crisis intervention when needed, and supporting consumers experiencing complex psychological challenges.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you take pride in contributing to the growth of others-offering supervision to students and junior staff, and engaging in ongoing professional development to support best practice care.

Senior Child Protection Practitioner roles in Brimbank Melton Area:
To be an effective Senior Child Protection Practitioner, you will have a strong sense of social justice and understand that families are complex, with their own unique histories. Importantly, you will be able to collaborate with the Team Manager to strengthen case practice, provide effective service delivery and to support other practitioners in the development of plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people.
At the CPP5.1 Senior Practitioner level, you will supervise team members in daily tasks through a structured and supportive learning program. This role will hold a caseload commensurate with supervisory responsibilities.
The transportation of children is a requirement of this role, as such a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel, including in country regions is essential. There may be the requirement to work overnight and, travel in evenings and early mornings. On occasions, additional hours may be required to ensure the wellbeing of children. Department vehicles are used to support this role.
