About the role
Southern Fleurieu Health Service is based at Victor Harbor within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, 85km from the Adelaide CBD. The Barossa Hills Fleurieu LHN encompasses three sub-regions including Gawler and the Barossa, the Adelaide Hills, and Southern Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island sub-regions. SA Pharmacy provides pharmacy services via a Hub and Spoke model from the three Peri-Urban Hospitals in Gawler, Mt Barker and Southern Fleurieu Health Service.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Pharmacist to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective pharmacy services for inpatients of the Southern Fleurieu Health service. In this role, you will play a vital part in optimising drug therapy and medication management, ensuring patients receive safe and effective treatment and continuity of medication management on discharge. You will provide expert drug and therapeutic advice to medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, you will contribute to a range of clinical and counselling services, supporting best practices in medication use. You will also work closely with professional and non-professional staff to enhance patient care and improve overall health outcomes.
The Senior Pharmacist leads the local pharmacy team, reporting to the Regional Lead Pharmacist, and demonstrates an ability to operate with a high level of independence, exercising professional judgement and applying clinical knowledge.

About You
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Pharmacist who is passionate about delivering high-quality pharmacy services in a hospital setting. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication, public relations skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team while also taking initiative when working independently.
- Technical Expertise & Organisational Skills - High level of attention to detail, accuracy, efficient organisation skills, excellence in medication management and patient counselling.
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Legislation & Best Practices - A solid understanding of clinical pharmacy practice, patient counselling, and medicines information in line with relevant Pharmacy Acts and legislation.
- Experience & Adaptability - Experience in hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy services with the flexibility and resilience to be able to adapt to change in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

About the role:

Duties for the role will include:
- Provide specific therapeutic interventions under direction of AHP staff - this will include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and other Allied Health discipline.
- Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team in a hospital ward environment.
- Supervise or assist in therapy and exercise programs, as directed by the AHP.
- Adhere to relevant WHS requirements including infection control and hand hygiene, reporting of incidents and near misses, safe operation of workplace equipment and manual handling, and maintenance of patient/client confidentiality.
- Assist in the maintenance of stock and ordering of supplies and equipment.
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
- Accurately maintain documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP.
About you:
- Must possess or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate with geriatric patients with diverse cultural backgrounds and complex co-morbidities including dementia.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting particularly with older persons and/or persons with cognitive impairment / Dementia would be advantageous
- Ability to organise time to complete daily tasks, and work within their limits and to recognise when situations are unsafe for patients.
- Ability to work under close supervision and direction from Allied Health Professionals.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and / or handling of patient related equipment and devices.

About the role:
Reporting to the Manager - Virtual Rehabilitation Ward, this role is responsible for ensuring optimal care and outcomes by providing a comprehensive range of occupational therapy services to patients receiving supported early discharge and home rehabilitation within the SALHN metropolitan area.
Duties for the role will include:
- Conducting virtual and in-person occupational therapy assessments to establish rehabilitation goals aligned with patient function and lifestyle.
- Designing and progressing individualised treatment programs focused on activities of daily living, home safety, and community reintegration.
- Providing information to patients and/or relatives about level of functioning and ongoing management.
- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary virtual ward team to coordinate care transitions and discharge planning.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of virtual care models and quality improvement within the unit.
About you:
- A degree or other qualification which entitles registration as an occupational therapist with the Occupational Therapy Broad of Australia.
- Experience as a clinician in the assessment and provision of high quality rehabilitation to clients with a variety of complex neurological, medical or orthopaedic conditions.
- Ability to assume responsibility for the organisation and provision of clinical Occupational Therapy services to Ambulatory Rehabilitation as a member of an interdisciplinary team. The Team
The Pharmacy Education and Development team work as part of the broader pharmacy leadership team to establish and promote the positive culture of being a learning organisation to ensure that pharmacy services deliver relevant education, professional development and training frameworks for pharmacy staff, including pharmacy interns, early career pharmacists and new to hospital pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
The Role
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacy education programs
- Build capacity for the pharmacy service to provide high quality training programs
- Where required, establish relationships with universities and act as the interface between the pharmacy service and the university regarding pre-entry student placements
- Work with existing structures in the department to provide clinical leadership, support and supervision to pharmacy interns, pharmacy technicians, early career pharmacists and pharmacists transitioning to hospital practice
- Work in partnership with other Statewide Pharmacy Educators and Leads, Discipline leads/Managers and universities to build productive networks and facilitate interdisciplinary education, training, professional development and research opportunities.
You will need
- Extensive experience delivering contemporary pharmacy services in a range of activities including dispensing, patient counselling, clinical pharmacy, manufacturing, and drug information, preferably in a hospital setting, including demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practice, clinical governance, clinical risk management, clinical standards, relevant legislation, research and ethics.
- Extensive clinical leadership experience with pre-entry students, early career and new to hospital pharmacy staff and the demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate learning activities, resources and professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant professional competency standards/professional capabilities; professional accreditation standards; contemporary education practices; and competency assessments, and their application to training pharmacy staff.

Details of appointment
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 6 June 2027.

The Grade 3 Social Worker is responsible for the provision of Mental Health Social Work services at the Acute Inpatient Service. The Social Work Grade 3 Clinician is expected to work independently whilst at the same time contributing strongly to the multidisciplinary mental healthcare team, and to initiate and participate in teaching, training, research and quality activities.
- Work under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 to skilfully engage consumers, carers, families and supporters
- Co-ordinate, oversee and monitor discharge planning as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Provide crisis intervention for discharge plans where required
- Work within MARAM and Information Sharing framework
- Liaise with other St Vincent’s Mental Health services and external agencies to ensure effective and efficient discharge is managed
- Liaise with community groups and relevant agencies to develop and review community networks which enhance continuity of care
- Supervise and provide training to social students and other non social work staff according to service policy, University Schools of Social Work and AASW requirements

St. Vincent’s Mental Health (SVMH) includes an adult area mental health service for the inner city areas of Yarra and Boroondara. The adult mental health service components are: The Footbridge Community Care Unit (CCU), the 44 bed Acute Inpatient Service (AIS) located on the St. Vincent’s Hospital site, the North Fitzroy PARC and two community mental health services (CMHS) at Hawthorn and East Melbourne (Clarendon CMHS). Community mental health services comprise the Triage and Crisis assessment and Treatment (CAT) Service and the Primary Intervention Care Team (PICT) includes Extended Triage and HOPE (Suicide Prevention), Continuing Care (CCT), Mobile Support and Treatment (MST) and Homeless Outreach (CHOPS) services. A Consultation & Liaison Service is provided to the health service. NEXUS Dual Diagnosis Service, the Body Image and Eating Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (BETRS) and NEVIL Training Cluster are regional services. Statewide services are the Victorian Dual Disability Service and the Victorian Transcultural Mental Health . About you:
- Must be eligible for or be willing to undertake a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent

- Ability to act responsibly in an emergency situation, with an ability to competently undertake pool rescue protocol per the division's procedures
- Previous relevant experience with patient care or experience working with people of varying degrees of disability and/or backgrounds

About the role:
Reporting to the Clinical Director, this role will facilitate Research in the Department of Orthopaedics with an emphasis on measured outcomes.
Duties for the role will include:
- Follow up studies to ensure satisfactory patient outcomes in conjunction with senior consultants
- Implementing/monitoring and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and best practice
- Implementation of best evidence practice, Gap analyses, Auditing
- Coordination of medical students’ research projects (advanced studies)
- Coordination of PhD students and Research Fellows working within the department involved in project design, ethics applications, etc.,
About you:
- Degree or equivalent qualification that entitles registration as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist in Australia
- Ability to assume responsibility for the development and completion of outcomes assessment projects
- Experience in setting up and completing relevant projects as evidenced by presentations and publications
- Experience conducting clinical assessments of patients with orthopaedic conditions
- Ability to be able to evaluate research studies

About the Opportunity:
We're currently looking for a motivated and caring Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our Endoscopy team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your clinical experience and skills in a specialised procedural environment. As an AIN in our Endoscopy unit, you'll support the nursing team with patient care, preparation and recovery, and assisting with the safe and smooth flow of procedures within this busy unit.
