About the Role
St Vincent's offers a unique and highly specialized paid Mental Health Cadetship Program encompassing adult and aged mental health, in acute and community settings. Mental Health Nursing Cadetships offer paid employment experience, professional support to students undertaking a Bachelor/Masters of Nursing degree. Cadets undertake shifts at St Vincent’s Hospital for a total of 30 shifts over the year to enhance the development of their skills and knowledge in mental health nursing, and assist with the successful completion of their studies. Cadets will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Mental Health Clinician to observe and provide support across an array of clinical areas, within a defined scope of practice.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Supporting consumers throughout their recovery journeys and working alongside the multidisciplinary team
• Actively upholding a culture of hope by using optimistic language, supporting people and celebrating consumer’s recovery efforts;
• Supporting consumers with available resources to achieve their recovery goals through education and support around coping strategies and symptom management
• Actively challenging stigmatizing attitudes, discrimination and social exclusion in line with the Recovery Model of Mental Health Care.
• Attendance of rostered shifts during the employment period
• Ensures that all care delivered is at all times supervised by a Registered Nurse
• Communicates effectively with supervising nurses about individual skills and learning needs
• Ensures practice remains at all times within the defined scope of practice. The scope of practice is developed in accordance with current legal obligations in line with the classification
Scope of Practice includes:
• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living
• Hygiene
• Housekeeping
• Therapeutic communication
• Participate in consumer activities programs such as Inpatient groups, and consumer meetings.
• Participate in consumer assessment, care planning and discharge planning.
• Supporting consumers with the recovery goals
• Working alongside the multidisciplinary team
• Develop knowledge of the roles of the carer consultant, consumer consultants and peer support workers.
Classifications for these positions will be PSEN Level 1 Year 1
Your Contribution
• Evidence of enrolment in a full time Bachelor or Masters of Nursing degree and will be completing your final year of study in 2027
• Evidence of passing grades in all subjects completed thus far
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrates professionalism at all times
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

St Vincent’s Mental Health (SVMH) provides high quality, recovery-oriented services across an adult area mental health service for the inner city areas of Yarra and Boroondara. The service utilises the Strengths Model of recovery and this model is embedded across all parts of the mental health service. In addition the acute inpatient service utilises the Safewards Model. Your Role as Physiotherapist

The position provides psychological services to consumers as part of the groups program in the Clayton Continuing Care Team (CCT) at Atherton Road, Oakleigh. The Clayton CCT provides case management support and treatment for consumers aged from 25 to 65 years experiencing severe and persisting symptoms of mental illness.
About the Role
Join our team as a Psychologist on a {full time / part time to work at Atherton Road Centre, based at Oakleigh. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the CCT manager and working with the broader Psychology team.

Based at Kingston Centre in Heatherton, you will work closely with the Pharmacist Team Leader – Rehabilitation and Geriatric Medicine and the broader Pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams. - Lead and coordinate pharmacy technician services across dispensing, medication supply, distribution and stock management.

Assistant In Nursing (AIN) Children’s Short Stay Unit - Permanent Full-Time The Children’s Short Stay Unit (CSSU) provides care for up to 32-bed acute paediatric inpatient unit caring for children with a wide range of medical conditions. Working closely with the Emergency Department, CSSU provides care for patients with respiratory illnesses, infections, seizures, gastroenteritis, and other common childhood conditions, with most patients staying up to 72 hours. The AIN provides support to nursing staff in delivering high-quality, family-centred care to infants, children and adolescents. Working collaboratively within a dynamic clinical environment, the successful candidate will assist with patient care activities, maintain a safe and supportive environment, and contribute to positive patient experiences. The Children's Short Stay Unit is a fast-paced service providing care for children requiring short-term observation, treatment and assessment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills while working alongside experienced nursing and medical teams dedicated to delivering exceptional paediatric care.

What you'll be doing
The Assistant in Nursing (AIN) role assists in the provision of basic nursing care, working within a plan of care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) within a team setting. AIN’s are not to be allocated their own patients. AIN’s are not to be assigned patients where one to one therapeutic nursing supervision is prescribed.
The AIN is responsible for assisting in the delivery of quality individualised care to patients at The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) within the guidelines set by the NSW Department of Health, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Framework, The SCHN – Division of Nursing and within the limits of the AIN position description.
The AIN will:
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Demonstrate ethical behaviour in their performance
•Understand and respect patients’ rights.
• Provide evidence of completion of annual mandatory training.
• Practice within the NSW Health guidelines, the position description and guidelines for the SCHN and are required to adhere to Policies and Procedures.

Position details
The Team
As a Food Services Officer located at the Royal Hobart Hospital, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of patients and staff across Tasmania’s public hospitals and health facilities. The team works collaboratively to ensure the safe preparation, handling, and delivery of nutritious meals that meet diverse dietary and clinical needs. With a strong focus on hygiene, efficiency, and teamwork, the Food Services team contributes directly to patient care and recovery in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
The Role
As a Food Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of quality meal services to patients, visitors and staff. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will assist with food preparation, cleaning and sanitising kitchen areas and equipment, stock handling, and maintaining food safety standards. You will contribute to ensuring meals are delivered efficiently, safely and with a focus on excellent customer service.
You will need
- Experience or interest in food preparation, food service or hospitality environments.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the workplace.
- A reliable approach to work with a focus on providing excellent service to patients, visitors and staff

Details of appointment
Multiple permanent, full time, shift worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$59,668 to $65,185 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
