This newly established role will shape care outcomes for clientele through your professional guidance and application of relevant child protection frameworks. Your sound leadership capabilities and informed decision-making will support the development of Residential Care and the youth it safeguards.
This is asingle vacancy offered under a dual classification. The successful applicant will be appointed at the appropriate classification level based on their qualifications, experience and suitability for the role.
Essential Qualifications:
- AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- PO (Professional Officer) positions require relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or other related fields.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).

About the role
Senior Case Worker in the Mental Health Programs will w ork collaboratively with team members to deliver a high-quality service, which is consistent with program goals and provides a safe and positive environment for clients and oversee and provide direction for the case management of all clients and referrals.

About The Role
We are looking for a compassionate Support Worker to join our fast-growing team in SA. As a Support Worker/Carer, you will be responsible for assisting clients with various daily activities to help them continue to live safely and independently at home. This position requires availability on Wednesdays and Fridays. We offer travel reimbursement and provide all necessary PPE to support your safety and success in the role.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide personal care: showers, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication prompts
- Assist with domestic tasks: cleaning, meal prep, shopping
- Offer social support and respite care
- Transport clients to appointments
- Maintain accurate care records
Your Background
The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional care. You should possess:
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- National Police Clearance Certificate
- Current Australian Driver's Licence with registered vehicle and insurance

We are expanding this team to deal with the increase in new clients and the growth of the industry. We would like to employ our next generation of Home Care Workers, where we will pay you to attend work and be trained by our experienced and qualified team members.
We will pay you to attend scheduled classes and study days to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care).
We are recruiting part-time Home Care Workers. You will be offered a minimum of 15 hours (guaranteed) and can work up to 35 hours a week.
We will work within your availability and the days and hours of the shifts.
What we are seeking:- Have a great attitude
- Be reliable and have clear communication skills.
- Want to work with the elderly in their home.
- Have a willingness to learn and work
- Ability to obtain and pass a clear National Police Check
- Hold a current SA Driver's licence, have a reliable vehicle, and have full comprehensive insurance
- Be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident to access funding to complete the accredited training course and traineeship.
- Have regular availability, minmum 3 regular days per week.
- Be fit and healthy, be able to complete a variety of tasks (see below), and pass a fitness/health assessment
- Desire to care for and help the elderly
Shifts are available Monday - Friday, between 7:00am and 7:00pm.
Shift durations vary from 1 hour to 3 hours, and we work with you to build full days of work, seeing clients back-to-back.
You are paid for your travel time and KM's between clients.
Services/Tasks:Throughout your Traineeship, you will be trained on the following services:
- Domestic Assistance (vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas)
- Bed making, room tidying up
- Shopping, completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client
- Transportation, taking clients to and from appointments in the community
- Personal Care (showering, dressing, grooming)
- Respite and Social Support
- Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff

- An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Advanced knowledge in working therapeutically with infants, children, adolescents and families who have experienced trauma.
- Demonstrated ability to independently carry out assessments and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with infants, children, adolescents and their families, using a wide range of best-practice models and approaches
- Motivation to learn new skills and to constantly expand one's knowledge base and an ability to evaluate one's own personal performance.
