We currently have two full-time positions available:
- Three permanent full-time roles
- One full-time parental leave cover until September 2027
The positions include participation in our rotational program, providing diverse experience across multiple Epworth sites in Melbourne. These include:
- Acute services at Richmond, Freemasons (East Melbourne), and Eastern (Box Hill)
- Rehabilitation services at Richmond, Hawthorn, and Camberwell
- Rehabilitation in the Home
At each location, you’ll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering professional growth.

About Rehabilitation & Mental Health
Epworth Rehabilitation and Mental Health services are some of the most progressive of their kind in Australia. Our clinical approach involves individualised treatment and collaborative team decision-making to achieve positive outcomes for patients. Our strong team ethos extends across our rehabilitation and mental health services at our Epworth hospitals in Richmond, Camberwell, Hawthorn and Geelong.
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Physiotherapy Council
- Current physiotherapy registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Respite Cottage Care Worker - what's involved in the role?
HammondCare’s Respite cottages provide guests with individualised support from our professional staff and are ideal for stays of up to 10 nights. Our guests love that these are not located in residential aged care homes.
- This Care Worker role will deliver care within our Overnight Respite Cottage in Dubbo
- Our Care Workers support and look after our Guests during their longer stays or short overnight visits, providing a relaxing environment for older people to take a break from their home environment
- Carers provide care for our Guests in our cottages, this includes personal care (assisting with personal grooming), medication supervision, specialised care according to each client’s care plan as well as a social support
- Each guest can enjoy all the benefits of residential care, including specialised clinical care, support with daily tasks, a wide range of social activities, plus delicious meals prepared fresh daily
What doyouneed to apply?
- Experience in aged care and/or disability is essential, Certificate III Individual Support is highly desirable
- First Aid certificate is highly desirable

With our unique model of care which places the residents’ needs as your number one priority, you will help create a home away from home for our residents. This role requires you to provide tailored care including personal support within the residential home.

- Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting etc
- Provide life engagement
- Support residents with levels of dementia

The Team
Outpatient Services encompass a wide range of medical treatment, procedures and consultations that do not necessarily require a hospital admission. The Outpatient Services cares for patients from the North and the Northwest of Tasmania, for diagnosis, treatment or follow-up and the patient can return home after their appointment. Epworth Rehabilitation has an exciting part-time fixed term opportunity for a Grade 1 Social Worker looking to further develop their clinical skills and healthcare experience within a leading hospital setting. - The Club provides organised activities and events for Clients to enjoy, including social outings and excursions for People living with dementia
- In some cases, you’ll have an opportunity to go offsite and provide care and supervision for our clients, and this would mean having the capacity to drive a 12-Seater Bus
About you
- Australian Drivers license
- No formal qualification is necessary; however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage

Position details
The Team
The Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) offers a specialised counselling and support to assist adults, children and young people, children who have experienced family violence. This service is part of the Safe at Home service system, with a strong focus on the safety and well-being of victim survivors of family violence.
The Role
- Assist children and young people to recover from their experience of family violence trauma through the delivery of evidence based and family violence trauma informed therapeutic counselling and support. This will include a range of developmental and age appropriate techniques and tools within a counselling/therapeutic setting.
- Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of group programs.
- Provide information and support, referral and advice to clients and other service providers.
You will need
- Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and practice experience of family violence trauma and its impact on the developmental needs of children and young people, together with the ability to assess complex dynamics and risk and safety assessments within a specialist family violence framework.
- Demonstrated ability to work therapeutically with children and young people who have complex needs, including the ability to work effectively with family members and other service providers in a complex care context.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative, work with general supervision and seek guidance as appropriate.

Position details
The Team
A part-time Diversional Therapy Assistant is required for a fixed term, to support our Latrobe Adult Day Centre team. If you love working with people in the community to support them to maintain wellness in a social environment, this position will suit you. The Adult Day Centre focuses on working with clients to develop and provide client focused activities, social engagement and bus outings to enhance their wellbeing and social connection as well as supporting carers. You will work with a small team to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.
The Role
The Adult Day Centres are a service within the Primary Health Team North West, working with clients to identify their needs, develop and provide them with social engagement and support, with a wellness and reablement focus, in a centre environment. Diversional Therapy Assistants contribute to, develop and deliver the Centre program, in collaboration with clients and coordinator, maintain client records, work with clients to develop individual care plans and are expected to abide by the care standards prescribed by Adult Day Centre funding programs.
You will need
- Strong desire to work with community clients in a social environment
- Be adaptable and team focused
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn computer systems required for the position

Details of appointment
- Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 15 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us until 28 August 2027. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary
