- Support staff through day-to-day practiceguidance, shared planning and capability development to strengthen culturally safe andevidence-informed AOD practice.
- Provide professional mentoring, practice guidance and workforce development to thecommunity-based Aboriginal workforce, strengthening culturally safe, traumainformedand evidence-informed AOD practice.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships and referral pathways with AOD treatmentproviders, Continuing Care Coordination services, cultural leaders, communityorganisations and other government and non-government services to supportcoordinated AOD responses.
- Maintain accurate client records and service data and contribute to programmonitoring and reporting, ensuring information is recorded in Communicare and otherrequired systems and supports client care, service planning, performance monitoringand funding requirements.

About the roleReporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, you will coordinate workplace health programs, manage injury and rehabilitation matters, and support the operation's occupational health and hygiene programs. Key responsibilities- Lead injury management, return-to-work and workers' compensation processes, ensuring clear plans, regular follow-up and sustainable outcomes.
- Work with employees, leaders and treating practitioners to understand job demands, clarify restrictions and identify suitable rehabilitation options.
- Develop and coordinate initiatives that support injury prevention, fitness for work and employee wellbeing.
- Coordinate the occupational hygiene program with specialist providers, including monitoring schedules, exposure assessments and follow-up actions.
- Manage site requirements under the Coal Mine Workers' Health Scheme and liaise with the Appointed Medical Advisor and external health providers.
- Contribute to Health and Hygiene Management Plans, Health Risk Assessments and controls for occupational health hazards.
- Analyse health and injury data to identify trends, inform priorities and improve outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and provide clear, timely advice to employees and leaders.
You are an experienced health professional who builds trust, takes ownership and follows matters through to resolution. You can translate health information into practical workplace advice, navigate complex situations and develop suitable options within medical restrictions, professional standards and legislative requirements. You are comfortable having difficult conversations, explaining recommendations and seeking specialist advice when required.
You will bring:- Relevant tertiary qualifications in allied health, nursing, occupational health, occupational hygiene or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience managing workplace injuries, occupational rehabilitation or employee health matters.
- Experience working with employers, treating practitioners, insurers and other stakeholders to achieve successful return-to-work outcomes.

Mercy Health Albury is offering a fixed-term, part-time AIN role in our Transitional Aged Care Program. You'll provide practical support, social engagement, and health monitoring to care recipients living at home under RN supervision.
This role is 72 hours per fortnight, with day shifts and some weekend work; training and orientation are provided, and nursing students are encouraged to apply. A current Police Check and Working with Children Check are required.
