The Health Liaison Officer plays a key role in connecting Wesley Mission Queensland’s Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team with general practice and primary care providers. Working within a multidisciplinary team, this role builds strong stakeholder relationships, supports referral pathways and shared care arrangements, and helps ensure coordinated, person-centred care across the community. Based at a WMQ site, the role actively engages with stakeholders in community and primary care settings.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Building and maintaining effective referral pathways and shared care arrangements with general practitioners, practice managers and primary care stakeholders.
Developing and sustaining strong relationships with general practices, primary care networks and community partners to support service access and integration.
Promoting the Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team program and act as a key liaison between WMQ and external stakeholders.
Supporting coordinated, person-centred care by facilitating communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary and primary care teams.
Assisting with care coordination activities to ensure smooth transitions between the program and a participant’s broader care network.
Identifying opportunities to strengthen stakeholder engagement, service accessibility and referral outcomes.
Representing WMQ within the community, engaging stakeholders in their own settings to build awareness, partnerships and service connections.

Knowledge of existing networks within general practice or primary care in the Brisbane South region.

Your Role as Cultural Liaison Officer – Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team
The Cultural Liaison Officer provides culturally safe, community-led support for First Nations, CALD and Pasifika participants within WMQ’s Mental Health Multidisciplinary Team. Working closely with participants, communities, Elders and cultural leaders, the role coordinates cultural support, advocacy and brokerage, strengthens community partnerships, and promotes culturally responsive service delivery across the program.
We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As cultural leadership, community connection and lived experience are central to this role, preference will be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing culturally responsive support, advocacy and brokerage to First Nations, CALD and Pasifika participants, ensuring services reflect individual cultural needs and preferences.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with Elders, cultural leaders, community-controlled organisations and other key stakeholders to strengthen community connections and referral pathways.
Contributing to multidisciplinary assessments, care planning and service delivery to ensure culturally safe, coordinated and person-centred support.
Promoting cultural safety, trauma-informed practice, recovery and inclusion across all participant interactions and service activities.
Supporting the development of cultural capability across the team through knowledge sharing, training, resources and stakeholder engagement.
Ensuring participants and families are actively involved in decisions about their care while maintaining confidentiality, cultural sensitivity and professional standards.
Maintaining accurate records, support quality improvement activities, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, privacy, workplace health and safety and organisational requirements.

About the Role
Looking for a role where you can make a real difference in the community while continuing to grow your clinical skills?
Join our supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based physiotherapy to people living with chronic and complex conditions across the community.
As a Grade 3 Physiotherapist, you'll work across a diverse range of presentations, with the autonomy to deliver person-centred care that helps people stay independent and connected to their community. You'll also provide clinical supervision to Grade 2 Physiotherapists and play a key role in the ongoing development of the service.
With opportunities to work across community settings, centres and clients' homes, no two days will be the same. You'll be supported by a diverse multidisciplinary team while having the flexibility to build your skills and make the role your own.

About the role
Provide high-level, advanced clinical Occupational Therapy services, assessing patients’ occupational needs through standardised and/or functional assessments and designing and implementing patient-centred interventions across inpatient Aged Care services
Lead the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of Occupational Therapy services, working closely with the Occupational Therapy Manager to support effective clinical service delivery
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary clinical care team, contributing to ward rounds, clinical team meetings, working parties and multidisciplinary planning, quality and research activities as required
Drive evidence-based practice and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance clinical services, policies, work practices and standards, and contributing to clinical research and quality improvement activities
Act as a local resource for complex patient cohorts, providing specialist Occupational Therapy advice and coordinating the development and evaluation of patient education resources
Contribute to the development of students and junior staff through supervision, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development, while ensuring responsible use of Occupational Therapy and organisational resources
About you
Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current Australian Occupational Therapy Registration (AHPRA), and a current unrestricted NSW Class C Driver’s Licence
Post-graduate experience in acute and/or sub-acute hospital settings, with experience working in Aged Care and across other inpatient Acute Care settings
Experience in advanced clinical management, with the ability to apply clinical reasoning skills and independent professional judgement to routine and complex matters
Demonstrated supervision and leadership experience with staff and/or students, together with well-developed communication skills

About the role
Provide high-level, advanced clinical Occupational Therapy services, assessing patients’ occupational needs through standardised and/or functional assessments and designing and implementing patient-centred interventions across inpatient Aged Care services
Lead the planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of Occupational Therapy services, working closely with the Occupational Therapy Manager to support effective clinical service delivery

About you
Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current Australian Occupational Therapy Registration (AHPRA), and a current unrestricted NSW Class C Driver’s Licence

About the role.

About the role
The Orthoptist will join the Ophthalmology team to ensure patients receive high quality ophthalmic care whilst attending the Women and Children’s Health Network. The orthoptist will investigate and manage paediatric ophthalmology and ocular motility conditions and contribute to the effective and efficient running of Ophthalmology outpatient clinics.
Key duties of the role
- Provide effective Orthoptic assessment and management services, including the management of amblyopia, refractive error, strabismus and other Orthoptic conditions, using evidence-based practice
- Liaise with senior staff on complex cases and contribute to contact lens services, administration and departmental teaching
- Support and actively participate in a positive culture and safe work environment within the Ophthalmology department
- Actively participate in SA Health’s Clinical Supervision programme working with your supervisor on a regular basis to further build your knowledge base.
Skills and Experience
- Appropriate degree or Master’s Degree qualification in Orthoptics which entitles registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board (AOB). Eligible for membership of Orthoptics Australia (OA)”

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Grade 3 Speech Pathologist to join the Speech Pathology team at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. In this senior clinical role, you will provide advanced assessment and management for adults with communication and swallowing disorders within the subacute inpatient setting. You will manage a specialized clinical caseload while providing leadership and expertise to support high-quality, person-centered and evidence-based care. Working closely with the Grade 4 Subacute Team Leader and broader multidisciplinary team, you will play an important role in optimizing patient outcomes and supporting safe and effective transitions of care. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the Speech Pathology service, leading clinical initiatives and supporting contemporary models of care, quality improvement and professional development.
Classification: Speech Pathologist Grade 3 VW6–VW9 ($104,135.20 - $118,981.20 per annum).
Your Responsibilities
You will:
Provide advanced Speech Pathology assessment and management for adults with complex communication and swallowing disorders
Manage a specialised clinical caseload within the subacute inpatient setting
Provide clinical leadership and promote excellence in evidence-based, person-centred Speech Pathology practice
Work collaboratively with the Grade 4 Subacute Team Leader and multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
Provide clinical consultation and expertise in the management of complex patients
Lead and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical initiatives, pathways and models of care

About the opportunity
The Pain Service Senior Clinical Psychologist P3 is an exciting new role at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg. The Senior Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment, case formulation, psychoeducation and evidence based psychological interventions to outpatients of the Gynaecology Persistent Pelvic Pain Partnership Pathway (P5) Clinic. Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary Pain Service team based at MHW, the psychologist also provides consultation and liaison to the referring MHW unit and treating team; develops, promotes and improves psychological clinical service delivery, in consultation with the Director of Gynaecology, P5 Clinic Psychiatrist, and Director of Psychology; assists in the development and delivery of multidisciplinary pain management services; attends multidisciplinary reviews, providing consultation, psychoeducation and psychological strategies to assist staff, teams and families/carers. The psychologist may also be involved in supervision of Grade 2 Psychologists and Registrars.

- Advanced clinical skills and experience in psychological assessment and formulation, mental state and risk assessment, and evidence-based psychological therapies, including in the context of complex and chronic pain presentations with co-existing physical health, mental health, trauma, personality disorders and/or substance abuse.
- Training and knowledge in evidence based psychological therapies and models relevant to persistent pain management.
- Experience in delivering group and individual therapy.

Working closely with the Allied Health Manager, you will provide strategic clinical and operational leadership while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture. A passionate leader of people, you will support, develop and inspire Exercise Physiologists across the state to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. You will drive service excellence, workforce capability and innovation, while ensuring the Exercise Physiology service remains financially sustainable, responsive to community needs and aligned with organisational priorities.
About the role
As the Exercise Physiologist Lead, you will:
- Lead, coach and inspire a geographically dispersed team of Exercise Physiologists, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous learning
- Provide professional leadership and support to Exercise Physiologists across Queensland
- Drive best-practice clinical standards, innovation and continuous improvement
- Lead clinical supervision, mentoring, onboarding and professional development programs
- Support recruitment, workforce planning, performance development and employee engagement initiatives
- Drive financially sustainable service delivery through effective resource allocation, productivity management and achievement of operational targets
- Monitor service performance, financial outcomes, quality measures, productivity and key performance indicators to support long-term service viability
- Facilitate Communities of Practice and strengthen professional connections across regions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary Allied Health and operational teams to deliver outstanding client outcomes
- Contribute to clinical governance, accreditation activities and service improvement initiatives
- Manage complex client cases as required
What you'll bring to the role
- Tertiary qualification in Clinical Exercise Physiology - Essential
- Current ESSA Accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- Extensive clinical experience with demonstrated professional independence
- Proven people leadership experience, including staff supervision, coaching, mentoring, performance development and fostering high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to balance clinical excellence with operational and financial performance outcomes
- Experience managing service delivery, workforce planning, productivity and budget considerations to support sustainable service growth
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and remote collaboration tools such as Teams or Zoom
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and willingness to travel as required - Essential
Highly Regarded
- Postgraduate qualifications or working towards
- Experience in community-based care, aged care, chronic disease management or rehabilitation
- Understanding of community funding programs and aged care reforms
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
