Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, the support and the strategy to make it happen.
We’re a well-respected not-for-profit that’s been serving people in need for over 170 years. Each year, we achieve life-changing outcomes for the 40,000+ people who rely on our person-centred support.
As our Driver / Store Worker, you’ll play an important role in bringing the joy of Christmas to families experiencing hardship through Anglicare’s much-loved Toys ’n’ Tucker program.
Every Christmas, our team collects, sorts and distributes donated food, toys and gifts to thousands of families who may otherwise go without.
Based at our Minchinbury facility, you’ll help ensure these generous donations reach the people who need them, making a meaningful difference during the festive season.
Be welcomed into a compassionate, respectful and purpose-driven community where we don’t just talk about values – we live them.
Your opportunity
This is a rewarding, hands-on opportunity to join our Toys ’n’ Tucker team during one of the busiest and most meaningful times of the year.
You’ll support the collection, sorting, handling and distribution of donated food, toys and other goods, helping ensure Christmas hampers and gifts are prepared and delivered efficiently.
Working both independently and alongside a supportive team, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of the program while treating every donation with care and respect.
With integrity and compassion, you will:
- Collect and transport donated food, toys and other goods to support the Toys ’n’ Tucker program.
- Assist with sorting, organising and preparing donations for distribution to families in need.
- Load, unload and handle donated goods safely and efficiently.
- Support warehouse and distribution activities to ensure donations are processed and delivered on time.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers while maintaining a safe, organised and positive working environment.
What you’ll bring
You’re reliable, practical and enjoy being part of a team working towards a meaningful goal.
You’re comfortable with hands-on, physically active work and take pride in completing tasks safely and efficiently.
You’ll bring a positive attitude, good communication skills and a compassionate approach to supporting people in need.
What’s required
- A current NSW Class C Driver Licence with a good driving record.
- Physical ability to safely undertake the manual handling and operational requirements of the role.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.
You’ll also share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, embedding them in everything you do.
Why Anglicare?
We provide meaningful opportunities and choice, both for the individuals and communities we support and the dedicated people here who make it happen.
At Anglicare, you’ll belong to a community of kind, humble and respectful people of all faiths and backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference.
As part of our Toys ’n’ Tucker team, you’ll enjoy:
- A rewarding seasonal opportunity to make a meaningful community impact.
- Working alongside a supportive and passionate team.
- A hands-on role with variety across collection, warehouse and distribution activities.
- The opportunity to contribute to one of Anglicare’s much-loved Christmas programs.
- The satisfaction of knowing your work helps provide food and gifts to families experiencing hardship.
We’re many services, with one purpose – to meet people where they are and walk with them. At Anglicare, we believe everyone is Made for Connection, with God, with each other and with the places we call home.
Through Toys ’n’ Tucker, we put that belief into action by bringing communities together through generosity, compassion and care.
Are you ready for a career that means more?
If you’re looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference this Christmas, we’d love to hear from you.
