Purpose of the Position
The Case Manager as part of Central Queensland Indigenous Development Ltd (CQID) organisation supports the achievement of CQID's strategic goals of best practice and innovative alignment with progressive government reforms by effectively leading the professional practice within a specific portfolio of programs and services across the CQID service footprint.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Support and walk alongside the young person to enhance their capability to adapt and connect with goal-oriented supports and interventions that are aligned to independence focused outcomes
- Be an Active Partner in Care Coordination - advocate and inform assessment, planning and review processes as you journey with the young person to achieve their desired outcomes.
- Lead the coordination and facilitation of organisation and service supports that are aligned to agreed goals
- Follow the documents technical Practice Manual procedures and all relevant standards and additional practice level directions given by Senior Case Worker, Practice Development Manager, Manager and/or General Manager
- Facilitate and support opportunities that enable young people to maintain and strengthen their cultural identity through meaningful cultural connections
- Complete all record keeping requirements for compliance, accountability, reporting, evaluation purposes and contribute to and participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Build respectful and professional relationships with service users, agencies, partners, community, colleagues and clients
- Work always to advance the reputation of CQID and undertake additional relevant duties as required
- Participate and contribute to the organisation's compliance obligations under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and Human Services Quality Standards (HSQS)

Qualifications and Experience

The Role

JOB OVERVIEW Open Arms - Veterans & Families Counselling (formerly VVCS) is Australia's leading provider of high-quality mental health assessment and clinical counselling services for Australian veterans and their families. You will be supported through the provision of ongoing learning and development opportunities and funded clinical supervision.
Clinicians (APS 6) work within the Open Arms Division of the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) providing counselling services to current and formerly serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel, their partners, and families. They apply extensive knowledge and experience gained from a relevant background in psychology, social work, counselling, occupational therapy, or nursing to build rapport with clients, understand their unique experiences and work with them to identify goals that will enhance mental health and wellbeing.
Clinicians provide evidence-based assessment, formulation, and treatment for a range of psychological conditions, and keep confidential care plans and clinical notes to reflect counselling progress. They may also provide co-facilitation for group programs alongside fellow Open Arms staff or external clinicians. With clients' consent, Clinicians will liaise with additional treatment providers, family members and/or key Open Arms and DVA stakeholders to enhance therapeutic support.
Reporting to the Assistant Director (EL 1) Clinicians are required to attend regular case reviews and operational supervision to discuss client progress and complex cases with the Assistant Director and other Clinicians. They are required to make decisions, problem solve and navigate complex client issues, whilst adhering to relevant legislation, ethical guidelines, and policies. Critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills are paramount, and Clinicians must demonstrate high levels of integrity and emotional intelligence. Bringing knowledge of veterans' and their families' experiences to the role, Clinicians will demonstrate respect for all clients and uphold a strong commitment to confidentiality and privacy.

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the ATSICHS The Brighter Futures Program, also known in the sector as the Extended Post Care Service(EPCS), supports young people transitioning out of the child protection system at the age of 18 across the Brisbane region. The program offers intensive, one-on-one case management through an assertive outreach model, focusing on enhancing independent living skills for those with complex backgrounds and limited support. Financial support is a key component, helping young adults manage the costs of independent living and strengthening their financial decision making skills in line with their transition goals.
Duties
- Effectively engage clients through cold-call home-based visits.
- Deliver immediate safety assessment and safety responses, documented and approved by line-Manager, in instances of domestic and family violence, self-harm/mental health, and child abuse.
- Facilitate ATSICHS 'Narrative Assessment Tools' completed in full by client ensuring the voices of clients are imbedded in their assessment. Facilitate conversations and introspection on all assessment domains.
- Lead tough conversations with clients, outlining non-negotiables of statutory bodies (Child Safety, Police, Courts, Youth Justice etc.). Build change readiness of clients through motivational interviewing strategies and positive reinforcement.
- Deliver Empowerment Interventions that Build Client Belief, Motivation, and Self-Sufficiency.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case notes of all client interactions, ensuring case notes are written from the perspective of clients in their voice.
- All client details, consents, assessments and records are current, completed in full and uploaded into case management system.

Supporting a workforce of approximately 2,600 employees, you will lead an experienced team of seven and help our services maintain approved rosters, meet care-minute requirements and improve critical workforce outcomes.

About the role
Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, you will lead a well-established and experienced Scheduling Team, and work closely with Centre Managers, operational leaders, People and Culture, Talent Acquisition, payroll and workforce-systems teams.
You will provide the systems, reporting, advice and leadership needed to support effective workforce planning across our residential aged care services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, coaching and supporting a team of sevenEnsuring shifts are scheduled and covered in accordance with approved rostersMonitoring performance against workforce KPIs and care-minute targetsProviding clear workforce-planning reports, insights and advice to operational leadersMonitoring agency usage, overtime, vacant shifts and other key workforce indicatorsPartnering with Centre Managers to identify risks and improve roster performanceMaintaining accurate master roster templates across residential aged care servicesSupporting compliant rostering practices across relevant awards and enterprise agreementsUsing UKG, Emprevo and Workday to support efficient scheduling, workforce reporting and information flowIdentifying and implementing improvements to workforce processes, reporting and systemsWorking with internal stakeholders to strengthen workforce capability and operational sustainabilityAbout youYou are an experienced workforce scheduling leader who can balance operational detail with broader organisational outcomes.
